PROBLEM
Lush Cosmetics experiences high customer traffic, particularly during the holiday season, and requires a solution to enhance customer self-sufficiency and help alleviate the strain on employees to improve overall efficiency of the store.
SOLUTION
Develop an interactive kiosk experience that enables customers to independently customize and order gift bags. This solution will enhance the shopping experience by streamlining the ordering process, allowing customers to make faster decisions without the need for employee assistance.
BACKGROUND IMAGES
I selected vibrant, blurred images as the background to resemble the visual effect of Lush's signature bath bombs dissolving in water. The blur effect minimizes distractions, allowing the focus to remain on the products. Additionally, the background color will change based on the chosen gift bag size, creating a cohesive and immersive experience during product selection.
TYPE
I carefully selected the typefaces and customized the header placement on each card to reflect Lush's signature chalkboard handwritten aesthetic.
DESIGN PROCESS
The Lush brand is characterized by its minimalist black-and-white design, which allows the vibrant colors of the products to stand out.
I explored various design options, taking into account the kiosk's height and button placement, ultimately selecting the final design that best aligns with the brand's aesthetic while maintaining a centered focus on the kiosk interface. This approach maintains both visual coherence and user accessibility.
